Description:
Packaging & Transportation & Storage:
- Package the 8S1P 230Ah assembly so terminals, sensor leads and the module frame cannot move or carry impact loads in transit.
- Protect the 8S1P assembly from rain, moisture and shock, and handle it by the approved frame rather than cables or terminals.
- Store the 8S1P assembly in a controlled, dry area with protected terminals and the state of charge specified by the module supplier.
- Long-term storage should follow the exact module revision’s temperature, humidity, inspection and recharge schedule.
- The 8S1P storage instruction should define humidity limits and prevent condensation around terminals, sensors and insulation.
Li ion Battery Pack Usage Environment:
- The protection level of the pack should not be lower than IP67;
- Suggest adding safety designs such as fire extinguishing and fire isolation within the Pack;
- The connection between battery modules and packs requires equipotential design;
- The strength of the pack must meet the vibration requirements of 7.1.1 and impact requirements of 7.2 in GB/T31467.3.
- The final battery enclosure must provide the required venting, isolation and fault protection; these functions should not be assumed from the 8S1P module alone.
OEM/ODM Module :
The supplier handover should state which mechanical, electrical and protection functions are included in the 8S1P assembly. For an 8S1P module quotation, provide the final system voltage, current, enclosure, harness and BMS scope. Just send emil to:anne@cmpow.cnIntegrating an 8S1P 230Ah battery module into a larger system
An 8S1P module is a building block, not a complete answer to the application. Before purchase, the buyer should define how many modules will be connected, the final system voltage, maximum continuous and peak current, charging source, enclosure, cooling approach, communications, and service strategy. Those decisions determine whether the supplied module can be used as delivered or requires additional engineering.
Separate module scope from finished-battery scope
Confirm which components are included: cells, busbars, compression hardware, frame, harnesses, temperature sensors, balancing connections, and protective covers. If a BMS is not included, document connector pinout, measurement range, sensor type, and insulation requirements. If modules will be connected in series, insulation coordination and service isolation become especially important. If they will be connected in parallel, current sharing, state-of-charge matching, pre-charge, and fault isolation must be engineered for the final assembly.
Ask for the files needed by the integrator
The quotation should reference the exact module revision, drawing, cell model, terminal hardware, assembly tolerances, and available test records. A generic cell datasheet cannot describe the mechanical and electrical interfaces of the completed module. Buyers should also confirm packing, lifting, storage, commissioning, and replacement procedures. Review the available datasheets and submit the planned series/parallel configuration through the technical enquiry form. If the exact module document is not listed, request it by model and revision rather than substituting a different PDF.
Define the module handover package
The 8S1P assembly should arrive with enough information for the next integration stage. The buyer needs the module drawing, cell identity, terminal and busbar details, harness pinout, sensor locations, insulation boundaries and the torque or assembly controls that affect service work. Without that handover package, a physically complete module can still leave critical electrical and mechanical decisions unresolved.
State clearly which functions remain outside the supplied unit. These may include the master BMS, contactors, branch fuses, pre-charge, enclosure protection, cooling, communications and system-level isolation. The purchase specification should assign an owner to each interface so that later commissioning does not depend on assumptions between the module supplier and the cabinet integrator.
- Reference the exact module revision on the quotation and packing list.
- Define inspection points for busbars, sensors, insulation and labels.
- Keep a compatible service unit or approved replacement policy.
For series or parallel expansion, document the connection sequence, state-of-charge requirements and fault-isolation method before delivery. Request the exact module file from technical sales and compare related pack options in the battery-pack range. This keeps the handover practical for engineering, purchasing and service teams.
Before dispatch, agree how serial numbers, module voltage, visible damage and packing condition will be recorded. Receiving teams should know which checks can be completed without opening the module and which measurements require an approved isolation procedure. That record makes transit claims, incoming inspection and later service decisions easier to trace.
